In this watercolour of a Mallard I demonstrate how to paint water ripples and reflections and how to create depth working from the lightest lights to the darkest darks.

Colours used: Cobalt Blue, Neutral Tint, Ultramarine, Raw Umber, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow and Viridian

Paper: Bockingford 300g rough white watercolour paper.

Super beautiful and very realistic - admire your talent and techniques - I just started watercolor classes, I am in love and my dream is to be able to paint a mallard - eager to do so, but I guess I am way far from getting there any time soon…

Referencing the colors used would've been helpful. Other than that, it's very well done and helpful to those of us who might give it a try.
