A Nuzlocke is the best way to fall in love with a Pokemon you don't like. Team FourStar did a Nuzlocke of the gen 2 remake and were saddled with a Chikorita due to them using their trainer ID number to determine which starter they pick, and Chikorita was literally their last choice. They hated it so much they called it Mr. Stake, because they wanted to call it Miss Stake until they realized it was a guy. This stubborn green SOB was so tough it survived situations it had no business living through, situations that they put it in because they WANTED it to die, like deliberately letting it tank an Ice Beam they knew would come. By the end (which he lived through) it won them over and they loved it so much that one of them literally named their real life dog Mr. Stake in his honor.

I'm used to a several episode nuzlocke, but this video was wonderful and despite not being able to watch through several hours of Pokemon bonding I thoroughly enjoyed it all. The last moment of trying to put Tutel in box definitely hit hard.

cynthia's Pokemons in bdsp are all EV, IV and nature optimised, you had no way to beat her Garchomp since it has 212 speed. You lost the moment you entered without a plan.
