Say goodbye to our orange hardwood floors and say hello to something new 💕We rented a drum sander from Home Depot and got to work! Definitely go for Golden Pecan! Its beautiful and timeless. The clear looks good but super light hardwood floors are trendy right now and not timeless. In fact they are already on their way out of being in trend. I also think the Golden Pecan will give some more dimension to the space and with it already being very white in there, that will be really nice addition!

Clear. I think the oak and pecan are too much like the original color and that clear tone brightens up the room even more which I love! If there's a Matte finish that you guys can do that will give it an even more modern look. Clear Matte or regular finish 👌

I know you are supposed to sand with the grain, but since you have uneven floors it could really help next time to sand diagonal to the grain first to hit all the high spots and even out the level of the wood and then sand with the grain 😁👌🏻 love how the room is looking after all your hard work!!

My sister and I did this to my floors after I bought my house September 2021. It was WORK but, I do no regret it! Like literally, the weekend after I closed on my house we rented the sander from Home Depot. Never even knew that was a thing until my sister suggested it. She's a realtor and knows all the gems! My house was so dark and we stripped them and it brightened everything up!

I vote natural or golden pecan! I feel like the clear might be a little too minimalist for the style of the rest of the house, having just a little color in the wood adds dimension/depth. But whatever you choose I'm sure it's going to be beautiful💜

The floors are beautiful! I’d say look at the way the stains look at different times of the day. Some stains on Oak are notorious for pulling pink or violet especially with west sun exposure. Natural tends to look a bit yellow over time to me. To avoid the yellow, pink/violet, or orange a lot of people go with a darker stain or try to mimic white oak (combo of white and clear stain). We’ve had a lot of experience with flooring and I still feel like I am learning about how stains look with different lighting etc. 😂 Ultimately pick the one you like best!
