Another thing that helped me was losing weight. No im not kidding, after losing 80 pounds i can already feel better control over my arm. I compared my old aimlab scores to my current ones with the same xlite wireless with glass skates and mousepad. Theres a lot of factors that play into it but im sure eating healthier, having less fat on my arm weighing me down and better muscle control made a difference.

Sensitivity, hand size, mouse space, role on your team, all important things to consider

Believe it or not, the death adder has been a go to claw grip mouse across the cs pro scene back when the deathadder chroma/elite back in the day. Scream in his prime mained the chroma using claw

Claw grip is certainly very good but you need to be more mindful of injury. I've been playing with claw grip for 5 years and it gave me pretty bad tendinitis because of the added strain. This can *maybe* be avoided if you consistently do warmups and stretches before your gaming sessions but I didn't find out about this option until after my tendinitis flared up.

I also use DeathAdder with a palm grip and also noticed the issue with vertical mouse movement. After some trial and error I think I managed to fix it with a few commands instead of forcing myself to use a grip that doesn't come naturally to me. What I did was pretty much crank up my sensitivity to a point where the vertical movement was satisfying. Then I lowered my "m_yaw" settings to match my original horizontal sensitivity. Arguably changing your grip might be the best option, but in my opinion, it's worth it only if you planning on becoming a pro and want to get 100% out of everything available to you.

I used to be a palm user but I tried the Orochi v2 as I have smaller hands and it's insane, so much fine movement. Such a weird shape that I think everyone that wants to improve at games needs to try it, you will never know if its small shape and more forward sensor placement will work for you until you try.

I have pretty long fingers so I can grip even deathadder and g502 with my fingers. It actually helps a lot with vertical aim, but sometimes holding a big mouse with only your fingertips makes aim a bit slippery. This causes a bit of over, or under aim. The way I fix this I actually use my pinkie and thumb to hold on to a table surface. This way you can actually flick very fast with heavy mouse. It's just my experience having a big hands.

When i started playing pc i used an ergo mouse from qpad, i tried a razer ambidextrous mouse and my hand cramped instantly so i returned it after a few days, this was back in 2013. Now i've gone through a few different ones and the one that opened up my eyes was the original model o from glorious, right now i'm using a viper ultimate (wireless makes a huge difference for me and without rgb it lasts me a week without charging)

my tip to get over it is the same as my guitar teacher told me when learning to play guitar. You wouldn't hold a bag with your thumb, the strength of your hand is in the other fingers, so try to not grip the mouse too hard between your thumb and pinky and with a bit of practice you'll be able to claw or fingertip grip the moues without getting cramps in your hands, and a smaller lighter mouse with a more precise grip has definitely helped my aim, hope this helps :)

ps, fortsätt med bra videor!

I’ve had so many transitions between palm and fingertip/claw that for a long time I didn’t even know how I’ve been using my G304. I’ve recently bought a new one because my old one’s sensor died and have just been owning in dm with half claw half fingertip. I think I’m gonna keep trying to be more self aware so I can be consistent with my grip and aim.

99% why your aim is bad is because you don't hold the mouse the way that feels natural to you.

hey, just so you know i'm using palm grip but i am using my arm more than my wrist and it's way easier using it like this, but i think because you could use claw grip is cause you use your wrist most of the time when playing, so as a fact there are different types of grips for different type of hand movement (claw, palm, fingertip)

I use the Death Adder with a claw grip. For the longest time I used to just do the standard index finger for left click and middle finger for right click but not long ago I have switched a "3 finger claw grip" so I use my middle finger for scroll wheel (it rests in the small divot behind the wheel to aid in control while still being able to scroll when needed) and my ring finger for right click. This grip has opened my aim flexibility a lot while giving each finger on the mouse a clear role (if that makes sense).

I'm mainly differentiating between wrist and arm aim instead, the grip style was always less important for me as it felt more of a comfort thing. DeadAdder is just the IE 3.0 shape and I always found it forcing arm aiming which is something I can't do. Although an esports staple among low sensitivity players (GitzZz used IE 3.0 to win WCG twice), it just doesn't work for high sensitivity wrist aimers. I'm on Razer Viper Mini right now and I'm really impressed by how game changing the optical buttons are, as well as the impact of low weight, but will agree on the comfort - the shape reminds me a downsized IMO, which is palm grip mouse, but because the overall size I have to use mid air claw grip which I find annoying. Coming straight from G9 (and Dual Optical before it), it is challenging as it took me a whole day to stop overtensioning my grip, but I have tried multiple mice including G303 Shroud, and I just play much better on the Viper Mini. Also no way I will go back to using mechanical buttons. That said the comfort just isn't there and also I have an issue with Viper Mini destroying my EverGlide Giganta pad (Optical Smoke v2, the one made of faster, but softer plastic), I don't know if it is the feet or the plastic ring around the sensor opening, but it wears it down and feels less smooth than feet on 12 years old G9.

Yes! Been using fingertip grip since 2000. I bought some of the first laptop-mice back then, beause they were light and small - so I could move and lift them just with my fingertips. Palm-grip and/or using large mice is so limiting. Feels like playing soccer with sandals. It is a physical barrier for your performance. Great video.

My hand is big so i use claw grip on the DA. Also i discovered the V2 has improved input lag by 600% and weight by 20% more or less. A great improvement over previous version. I wanted to test the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT but i'm not paying 150$ to do it.

had a locally source (chinese mouse under local brand) ergonomic one. was really good until buttons broke. it was not medium, but not big size. somewhere it between. i wanted to buy another one but they do not make it anymore. now i am on death adder, which is slightly larger. i would partially agree with video's assessment.

Oh wow, I relate to every problem you have in this video. I've used the Deathadder mouse for about 8 years. I didn't realize it was my mouse's fault that my up and down mouse movement was so bad. Maybe I'll think of buying a smaller one just to try it out. For those sweaty sessions y'know.

I remember the days when people said that palm grip was the best way to hold a mouse. Bought myself a Razer Mamba thinking it would help me to change from a claw/fingertip grip to palm grip but I never did change my mouse grip. Nowadays with smaller mouses becoming more prevalent it is more comfortable for me to hold the mouse.
