I sang the solo on this in our vocal jazz ensemble when I was in high school! So nostalgic! This one got the whole audience up on their feet!! Love it!

Really great version of this song. Originally Sister Wynona Carr 1954, then the Friendly Brothers (1959), this version 1975.

Sax solo by the legendary Michael Brecker! Absolutely in his own universe of playing

Oh my God I use to love this song when I was a kid. I would blast it and sing my heart out. And my mother would scream "Shut up already, damn." Good times.

I saw them live at a night club in Ft Lauderdale around 1977. They were simply fantastic! When they sang Operator live, they actually got a standing ovation in a night club. Fabulous group. Fabulous show!

Saw this group at the Arizona State Fair in the late 70's. I paid one dollar to see this show and included Kenny Loggins.

Sung this with the school choir about 30 years ago. Still remember it perfectly.

Now, whenever my daughter says "daddy, information please" I sing it just to annoy her.

One of my all-time favorite songs!  Ya'll ain't gonna believe it--this song was a FAVORITE at the G-String Topless Bar in Jacksonville, Fla. back in the day it was on the jukebox  (sometime around 1975)!  Boy those girls could shake it to this song!!!  And they loved to play it to dance to, I spent more money paying for this song and Disco Lady than I could guess.
