the mistake that Biden made in the first debate was trying to respond to trump's lies instead of simply responding with "I'm not going to debate a lie." and then answering the actual question posed by the moderator.

I feel like people don't use the term "conman" to describe him often enough. "Fraudster", sure, but that makes it sound like he's cooking books to defraud companies and the government -- nothing the average voter needs to worry about personally. But "conman" comes with the connotation of being a sleazy salesman, someone who will lie to you to get you to do what they want you to. I feel like calling him a conman would put more people's guard up and maybe make them second-guess what he tells them.
