for anyone wondering, nanno is the personification of karma! no one knows what she is exactly though many say she's the child of the devil but anyway she mostly goes to schools to give people what they deserve. girl from nowhere is a great series and definitely watch it!!

Brief story: Each episode has different stories and they all are inspired by true events except the "nano part" (Bullying is really bad in Thailand)
The character "Nano" is Mara Amaratayakul (Amar meaning immortal) and Mara is a devil like being in Buddhism which is associated with death, rebirth and desire.

I’ve watched this and I grew up with this kind of twisted system until I moved to the UK, and I still watch this recap. I adore this series.
PS. If you’re Thai, you’ll understand what seem to be the plot holes. Why does no one intervene? Why the fluff is everything like the way it is? That’s the bloody problem. No one give a fudge. Everyone is corrupt. And most things are symbolic, yes, but these elements represent the truth and the festering wounds of Thai society.

Nanno is more like "Tomie"( if someone knows Junji ito, he should have probably read about her mainly). But, Tomie is more like a manipulative, revengeful creature who, is way beautiful than others and in every arc in Junji Ito's stories someone always tends to kill her because of her immense beauty. There is a urge in their body to kill her because she is so beautiful. They even say after killing her that, " She made me do it, I Still Love Her, it's all her fault!!??".And every body part of her can regenerate into a new TOMIE. If you cut her in millions of pieces there will be millions of Tomie. And the story goes on. But, Nanno is like the same except she teaches some good morals to society.

Nanno is the daughter of satan. her purpose is to expose all the bad deeds and ugly secrets most people try to hide from the worlds. because she is the daughter of satan, she can't be killed and can have many clones.

Nanno's pretty much an entity, I assume cloning herself must just be an ability of hers considering how much crazy bullshit she's managed to pull throughout the seasons as far as I've seen

Simply put, cloning becomes one of Nanno's abilities in situations similar to this one, where Nanno is locked up and left with no chance to escape or survive in order to regain control. It's an interesting concept because, aside from being inevitable, no one can harm her in the slightest, she has other abilities that make her vastly superior to any other fictional character who shares a kindred spirit with her.

this isn't the first time Girl from Nowhere has used a "clone" tactic to show how powerful Nanno is in one of the episodes early in the series Nanno dies several times and gets buried each time. a running theory in the fandom is that she's the daughter of the devil but aside from that she's the physical representation of karma. i definitely recommend the series though it's one of my favorites
