Great knot. My mother and I have actually used that same knot in our crocheting for decades, just something we do, we don’t know a lot of people that use it for crochet! But works great.

I was shown this knot 25 years ago and it is still my go to knot. I’ve had 50lb+ cats using it and it has never failed

I watched the Palomar knot video and I've used it only to have lost a lure due to the fact it seemed my braid slipped through the knot. I did exactly what was shown in the video. I figure the braid I had was too thin for this knot or would it work to pass a couple of time though the loop of a Palomar knot. Somewhat like shown here with the overhand loop. Passing through a couple times more?
