Watch as the man himself talks about the evolution of his signature guitar and the new innovations he has put into it's latest incarnation.

“I don’t just like the newest version of my guitar, I love it. With these new pickups, I can move from a strong bridge pickup to a very clear, “whoopy” neck pickup – you can hear every note – by just setting the mini-toggles and using the 3-way as normal. It’s a highly musical and very usable setup,” said Paul Reed Smith. “This guitar has clear, spanky single coils when you split the pickups but a very full soapbar quality when they are in humbucking mode. It’s just beautiful.”

That singlecoil tone sounds like Gilmores Strat, simply amazing, it instantly popped up in my mind! Why PRS is so good? It's a passionate guitar player being the master luthier and CEO, not just a businessman and he demos his guitars personally, how amazing is that!

I currently have two PRS's P22 and Standard 22 gold top, As a guitar teacher I play them every single day. When I open my eyes each morning I am excited to just be able to play them. I take a sigh and think "thank god". I smile knowing that it doesnt matter what day I have they will brighten my day.

Paul's Reid Smith's name is in rare company with the likes Leo Fender and others. This is an amazing time to see a master at work, innovating, pushing forward. It's not often that we see an owner so involved, pushing forward. Fast forward to the future these guitars will stand the test of time.

I have a 2013 Paul's guitar and the single coil tones out of the guitar are fantastic. The humbucker tone is of course great as well. This guitar has caused me to put down my single coil guitars.

This Prs does it all so well, I love this guitar. You guys are the best!

I tried one of these at Anderton’s a couple of weeks ago, and it was tremendous. Extremely versatile and a pleasure to play.

It’s worth noting Paul’s vocal like vibrato. Mega!
