5:15 - Take a look at Trigger IDs in automations. That way your closet door automations can be in 1 automation instead of 2

One thing that I recommend doing is setting up the forecast home integration and using the sunrise and sunset entities in replace of your night time and daytime motion light automation. You don't have to, but I find it handy when the actual daylight times vary from season to season.

I do that alot, myself 🤣

You should add some contact sensors (reed switch). I automated my garage door with a zigbee dry contact relay and a reed switch sensor. They are good for security on all exterior doors and windows.

My suggestions:
- Take a look at Node Red
- You can use a button in your bedroom to set your house in "sleep mode". You can then base automations on that, like turning on lights dimmed instead of full brightness. If you still want to use "time" I would turn on a "sleep mode" helper at a certain time, instead of building that certain time into all your automations. Some people also use "when phone starts charging after x oçlock" to trigger the sleep mode, but I never charge my phone during the night.
- If you don't have it yet: put a lightstrip and motion sensor under your bed. Mine turns on red at a very low brightness when I get up in the middle of the night (when my house is in "sleep mode")

Never new about the Z2M Map, so cool.
My hue and tuya lights seem to function as mesh routers throughout the house :)

It looks like the Aqara hub is in a server rack and getting interference. Maybe put it on top of the rack like your zigbee dongle to get better door lock performance.

@techhut Why don't you use trigger ids to simplify your closest light automations into one than having on and off in two separate automations

I wonder what makes you boot into windows?

11:28 I really wish you didn't show off the keyway. I bet *anything* that is pretty easy to bypass.

Why do you use the zigbee dongle E and not the zigbee dongle P?

I very skeptical of "smart" devices, what about all the new attack vectors you are introducing to your network just because you are lazy?
