Sasha Banks & Naomi SUSPENDED Indefinitely, Stripped Of Titles | New WWE Unified Tag Champs Crowned

WWE announced on SmackDown last night that Sasha Banks and Naomi have been stripped of their WWE Women's Tag Team Championships and suspended indefinitely, an AEW star is undergoing surgery to repair an injury, an NXT Superstar made their main roster call-up last night and received a new name, and new Unified Tag Team Champions were crowned on SmackDown.

In order for this to have ever been a work we'd have to believe WWE were okay doing a storyline about how shit their creative and the treatment of the Women's Tag titles has been.

Sasha and Naomi were NOT stripped of the titles. They vacated them when they left the titles with talent relations. Let’s get it right here. WWE didn’t make that decision, Sasha and Naomi did. Still stand by what they did though. Sasha and Naomi are currently fighting for every woman in the locker room to get more opportunities with the tag titles - trying to actually build a tag division and WWE refused. They have failed to deliver since the titles debut. If anyone let down the locker room and fans it’s WWE.

It's so off brand for WWE to address backstage stuff in public. This could be a blend of real and work tbh, like how the pipebomb was back in 2011.Using real life backstage elements for a a big storyline. Also what tag teams will they use? The only other two teams they have on the main roster are Shayna and Nattie McBoat, and Doudrop and Nikkie. Don't even know if carmella and zelina is still a thing (or care). That division is so barren they might as well scrapped the title

It's a work. If you watch s series 97, you see them in the crowd, naomi winks at bret, then bret winks at sasha who winks at shawn and Shawn winks at Bret and Bret winks at Earl who winks at Vince who winks at Bret to signal the spit.

The 'Suspended Indefinitely' part is what makes me think its a work. Surely they would have a set amount of time for a situation like this. I'm hoping that maybe they've actually listened to Sasha and Naomi and they'll pull a CM Punk and come back at the end of the tournament and we'll get undisputed women's tag team champions?

The way they spin it on the air is so despicable. Regardless of who is right (hint WWE is never right in these cases) the way WWE uses their platform to air out business with their “contractors” is petty bullshit.

While I don’t condone with Sasha and Naomi did, WWE must think their fans are two-year-olds. We know their hands ain’t clean in this either.
