Character exp books are unlimited so one day you will lv 90 everyone anyway.
I say prioritize your mains and don't level random characters. But after a while the exp books will pile up and you can lv 90 characters for the heck of it.

its worth it not just for characters like noelle or hu tao who scale with def or hp but also just in general, getting to 90 increases your hp, atk and def and with further constellations, a lot of characters who scale with 1 stat can use another or the character scales with their base stat in which case if bennett isn't 90 your not getting the most out of him.

For people who are actually considering to never lvl 90 their characters, reminder that I got an extra 1000 hp for Yaoyao through the lvls. It's worth it. Trust me.

I see this way too much and it honestly sucks that people aren’t addressing the caveat. If you’re not planning on using a character, there’s no use in leveling and building them. If there are four characters (eight if you’re doing the abyss) that you are using more or less exclusively, why not get the most out of those and worry about building more characters once you’re ready for that?

Same for all those that scale off their base attack. Benny, Kujou sara, etc.

If you only upgrade/level 1 character, and there are enemies in quest, or spiral abyss like the divergence zone, it may be immune, so you must level up characters that we need.

What I actually love is making them slowly Level 90 after letting them on Level 80 for a month or longer. Make the climax voicelines hit different in my opinion

If I build a character, I believe in going all in... until it comes to using crowns. I have yet to use a single crown on a single talent. Not because of the crowns, and not even because of the Mora. I can justify going through the farming for level 90, primarily because of talents and my need to maximize any character I'm going to use a lot, even if it's only by a little bit (in the first place, if you play consistently, you'll be able to finish them up before you have to move on to the next character. You can get a bit of a head start, then have something to aim for when that next character comes out even if they're in the next update.

The only thing that's really difficult to farm are artifacts.

If you're trying to clear Abyss, leveling to 90 significantly increases your damage on floor 12. Enemy defense is set based on relative levels and when you're seeing level 100 enemies, it cuts their defense almost in half over playing at 80.


Not to mention the resin you have to sink into getting ascension materials to get random characters to level 70

90 feels so much more conclusive and sure i leave characters that i only use from time to time on 80 like shenhe!

I mostly get them past level 80 and then leave it at that as I don't feel like throwing more resources. Also only the characters I truly liked ends up higher than level 80 so if a character is stuck at level 80 than odds are I didn't like them enough to bother getting them past the 80 mark.

some characters like bennet etc. gain that bonus but for characters like xingqiu and xiangling etc. sub dps characters can saty at lvl 80. But for characters like Xiao hyper carry must increase dmg output as much as possible since those teams have no sub dps to split the damage cap
