SkyDive Dubai - Absolutely awesome! Epic skydiving experience!

For our second skydive, we went to SkyDive Dubai - an amazing, unforgettable experience - highlight of the year for us! - review below...

We did our first jump on our Vegas trip, which was great, but SkyDive Dubai was an altogether different ballpark.

In Vegas, while initially vastly cheaper, you had to pay for photos, pay for a video, pay if you wanted a cameraman - whereas at SkyDive Dubai you get one price and that price includes everything. So while it was more expensive, it included every possible extra.

A very slick, smooth operation and great fun. You're in, up, out, down and gone in about an hour and a half. A brief intro/advice and you're on a short 10 minute flight into the air, plenty of time to contemplate your decision and evaluate your life choices.

Then, you roll out of a perfectly good airplane at 13,000ft (it was actually 13,250ft according to my altimeter watch). Once you're over the initial mad acceleration (which is what takes your breath away), you have about a minute of freefall over the beautiful Palm and then a few minutes gliding in on a parachute back to the marina.

30 minutes later you have a memory stick with all the photos (amazing quality photos shot on a Canon Mk5D!) and fully processed video (ie. this video!).

It is an epic experience and worth every penny. The guys and girls are friendly and great fun, the experience is amazing and the view is spectacular - an absolute MUST DO trip in Dubai - it's even worth going there just to do this!
