for anyone curious yes the strat is called double clutching, a glitch popularised by speedrunners doing story mode, he described how to do it perfectly, it relys alot on listening to your engine but after a little bit you can get the hang of it without sound for those headphoneless nights. you will hear a nice revving of your engine when done succesfully. alot of other old racing games also have this feature wether it was intentional there i do not know.

if you’re deep within the racing community then you’ll see that the car customization is alot more intricate and well thought out than u think, adding any sort of body mod like splitters or new bumpers for example add weight to either the front or back of the car depending on where you add the mod which is why most racers in the community have pretty equal customization so the weight doesn’t mess with their lap times

Double clutch doesnt guaranteed work on all rwd cars. Many new vehicles have had the feature disabled by rockstar to stop spamming of it in online races, secondly certain cars even being rwd, simply cant double clutch. All the supers cant and even many of the sports class vehicles cant either

double clutching is when you shift to neutral and then shift up or down a gear. but this technique is for older cars without syncros. the benefits is that you get the engine spinning at the same speed of the transmission and you decrease rev hang
