Cookie Dough Tasting from MyRecipes.com

When we posted on Facebook and Twitter that Deanne had never tried raw cookie dough, the response was overwhelming. Most thought she had a deprived childhood. Some implied she wasn't living her life to the fullest. Someone even said the MyRecipes team should tie Deanne to a chair and force-feed her cookie dough. We didn't do that, but we did set out a tasting: yellow cake batter, brownie batter and chocolate chip cookie dough.

We're not recommending eating any products with raw eggs, but everyone should lick the spatula at least once in his or her life.

Because raw or undercooked eggs cause the majority of Salmonella illnesses, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) does not recommend eating eggs that are raw or undercooked. However, the USDA also says, "In-shell pasteurized eggs may be used safely without cooking."

What a big deal. I am trying cookie dough too, yummy. My favorites were homemade gingerbread cookie dough when I was small :)

no offense but this is really disturbing for me. watching other people eating raw ingredients. especially if she recommending cookie dough is alright but in the beginning she said dont try this at home? :|
