Catherine Belton talks about Putin's People

This Spring the Stratford Literary Festival Goes Virtual, bringing you a week of conversations with authors on topics from democracy to croissants, feminism to cathedrals.

In this video, former Moscow correspondent and investigative journalist Catherine Belton discusses her new book 'Putin's People' with John Jefferies. In 'Putin's People', Belton tells the untold story of the rise of Vladimir Putin and the small group of KGB men surrounding him. Delving deep into the workings of Putin's Kremlin, Belton accesses key inside players to reveal how Putin replaced the free-wheeling tycoons of the Yeltsin era with a new generation of loyal oligarchs, who in turn subverted their country's economy and legal system and expanded its influence in the West.

Уважаемая Кэтрин Белтон, полагаю, допустила крупную ошибку, повторила ошибку профессора института США Карен Давиша, заболела онкологией и умерла, жаль. Между тем я написал ей намёк о проявленном мужестве...она поблагодарила, но предпочла погибнуть, но не обращаться к помощи. В книге Putin’s People by Catherine Belton автор не смогла ответить на самый главный вопрос: Почему это случилось с народом и почему фигуранту книги это удалось осуществить, какова настоящая причина? А между тем ответ очевиден и для этого нужно написать всю правду во второй части книги которая будет более сенсационной и более важной для всех, например, полагаю, любые, в том числе смертельные заболевания, несчастные и фатальные случаи, в том числе «заболеть онкологией и подавиться куском мяса, как Сергей Третьяков», могут быть осуществлены путем «спецмероприятий», и т.д.
