I never experienced a "leaving do" when leaving any job (all long before the pandemic). Such things don't happen if you work in a factory, if you work underneath trains covered in grease, if you work on a building site and many other situations. I did leave one job with a furious argument with the boss over underpaid overtime in my final wages. Does that count?
