Didn't go for years, mainly because my wife thought it was for pensioners. Spotted a decent deal in Feb into March, loved it. Its like the rest of Spain used to be and you can still have a haggle in the shops which I enjoy.

I really enjoyed torromolinos, quite a few times I got the bus from marbella bus station. The la concha mountain is a great climb with stunning views too in marbella.

Cheers for the update went to Spain in the eighties, Saw Meatloaf and Whitesnake in a Concert in Barcelona, brilliant night. August is the holiday season for the locals and in Italy and some take the whole month off.

Kevin, many thanks for the tour of Torremolinos. Brought back many memories as my wife's brother lived there. They have both passed away, and I couldn't bring myself to return since. We have booked a place for next March in Costa Blanca…most people we know go to Costa del Sol but we were drawn to Alicante after watching a few youtube videos.
