Yeah, Primus's music and their videos are like fever dreams. So much so, it's a common joke for fans to say "Primus sucks." But Les cannot be denied as one of the best bassists in rock history. I also HIGHLY suggest Tommy the Cat, and Jerry was a Racecar Driver.

Founder of Primus, Les Claypool auditioned for Metallica after their original Bassist Cliff Burton died in bus accident in Sweden. Les is a good friend of Kirk Hammett since high school.
Metallica even recorded audition process of Les. Band stated that he was too good for them knowing Les wasn't quite fit for Metallica.
