We all have an ikigai.

It's the Japanese word for ‘a reason to live’ or ‘a reason to jump out of bed in the morning’.

It’s the place where your needs, desires, ambitions, and satisfaction meet. A place of balance. Small wonder that finding your ikigai is closely linked to living longer.

Finding your ikigai is easier than you might think. This book will help you work out what your own ikigai really is, and equip you to change your life. You have a purpose in this world: your skills, your interests, your desires and your history have made you the perfect candidate for something. All you have to do is find it.

💔😓 there should be a hotline or a support group for people who have read this book who can’t do what’s said needs to be done to live a good life. I was disabled by violence and had to leave my friends. My present is filled with pain and loneliness despite my best efforts. I feel like this book has pushed me closer to death and I don’t want to die. I would love to be able to live again how it says to live here. Instead I am in pain and fear despite my best efforts to heal and re-populate my life. I hope this book doesn’t make anyone feel as bad as it has made me feel.

Very upsetting if you’re disabled and isolated.
