Where was this video when I was preparing to move here 3 months ago? This is great info - I'm sure new residents will love this! We are on a year-round school calendar and it's so much better than a traditional calendar!

Really good video, Ellen. Can I ask you something? My son will be 5 yo on Oct/22, and I'm not sure if he will be able to start kindergarten at that year or if he needs to wait until 2023. Is there any difference if we chose the year round or the same rule is applied? Thank you very much!

We are looking to move to the Raleigh area, but the school grades are incredibly low. Without visiting the schools its hard to judge if this is a good way to choose where to move. How much should I trust those schools ranked as a 2. It is odd that the higher end neighborhoods have schools with this ranking. Thanks!

I was thinking the same thing about school leadership and then a K-12 education reporter for the News & Observer told me they wouldn’t put much stock in the area superintendent. They’d rather focus more on the individual school. What’s your opinion on which area has the best leadership? Southwestern, Northwestern, Southern, or Western.

Really great video. Thank you! For students whose magnet schools are their neighborhood school, are they part of the magnet program? Or do they do a "normal" curriculum? Do daycares in the area run programs that work like traditional summer programs for year round kids? What do working parents do when their kids are out of school so often?
