How I Set Up iOS 18 To Keep My Sanity

In this video, I walk through my learnings and setup with iOS over the last couple of months. With the official release of iOS 18 right around the corner and the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro coming out shortly, I thought it would be worth going through for anyone looking for ideas for their own phone.

On the lock screen, I change the camera button to the remote you technically don’t need the camera button cause you could just swipe to the left on the lock screen to open the camera

I like having the text removed under the icons but I don’t like how big the icons get. They almost look bloated. Why can’t we have no text under the icons with normal sized icons? Good grief Apple!! 😡

"Dark Mode" is so passe. I'm excited for the 'Semi-transparent-clear frosted appearance to the app' icons, giving that 'sense of hierarchy' continuity to the iPhone.

I would remove the camera control from the Lock Screen since you can already swipe to get to the camera

Should just make the battery shortcut automatic. Have mine engage at 30% no matter what. Helps a ton
