To those who are stuck at starting screen
(1)At starting screen, toggle on your controller first (assign any key like "end" to toggle on off controller in mouse2joystick)
(2)now press key that u assigned to start/+ in mouse2joystick

UPDATE
(3)turn off auto activate executable in general of mouse2joystick

Man love this video i had installed the game finding its for emulators and i from past experiences got the ptsd on the mouse and keyboard I uninstalled it now you gave me a reason to install it again thank you def a sub from me

Here is the best key bindings which I use :
A - L SHIFT
B - R
X - SPACE

Works perfectly, for something like Animal Crossing its great. Set all face buttons to mouse buttons (I have 2 side buttons) and all d-pad except d-right to the mouse wheel, feels really intuitive actually. My controller broke so this is a great alternative until I can replace it, thanks

Any way to shoot with left click and aim with second cliick?
I enter the keylits, lt - l2 Lbutton and rt - r2 Rbutton, and doesn´t work, it aims with left click and shoot with second click.
Tried to do it inverse, still didn´t work.

Additional steps

0) Follow the video
1) After starting game, alt tab to Mouse2Joystick and press F1
2) Alt tab back to game, if your cursor is not hidden, press Middle Mouse
3) Sometimes the mapping for A, B, X, Y are reverted. So try them all to get through the menu
4) Whenever you want to stop using Mouse2Joystick, press F1 to bring back cursor

Edit: If your keys aren't working at the start menu, alt tab to Mouse2Joystick, F1, alt tab to game, middle mouse, try your keys. Repeat 1 or 2 times

Works like a charm but even then the controls are messy as hell, I had problems shooting coyotes while riding a horse already. Not sure if I'll keep playing. Kinda sad, considering RDR2 is one of the best ever

it's not working when I click load after change my input device to xbox360 the controller type goes back to "pro controller" not "joycon pair"
