The big problem with this dashcam is that when you want to save an event and push the emergency button it just saves everything after the button press.. This makes the self saved emergency video's completely useless 😔 My previous dashcam saved a minute before the event as well giving me an option to quickly save events while driving. It's sad because the rest is so awesome with this unit.

Thanks for the video. Just a small comment from my end, the emergency record button does not exactly record 2 seconds before you click it as mentioned at 10:30. The camera automatically segments your videos into 2 minute fragments. Pushing that button will just cause the segment it's currently on, plus the next segment if applicable (for example if first segment was already at 1:50) to be saved in the non-over-writable Events folder.

There's a polarized lens for 70mai a500, I think it would also fit for the a810. I bought mine for $4 and I totally eliminated the glares everywhere.

I think it only said that thing about wrong time stamps to warn you about the possibility of an error being used to get video evidence thrown out in court. I am not sure how often a wrong time stamp has affected any court cases but that is a good point to watch out for that. Also if you have a camera that frequently shows the wrong time you may want to worry then. My Vicovation Marcus 4 is a good reliable camera but not 4K. One thing I notice a lot is when I look at the clips from it the time and date are all wrong. It has a capacitor which while less prone to failing because of heat might not hold enough of a charge long enough for not using the camera for extended time periods. I do like that you can attach a polarizer or any any other filter made for a camera with a 52 mm threaded ring. You could try an IR filter on it too if you had one and wanted to see how well that would work. Do remember that a lot of cameras are sensitive to IR light and that makes them good for checking a TV remote. A lot of phones will show IR light the same way even though you can't see it.

You failed to show sample video of showing a zoom in shot of the cars plate number at night to see if its viewable. I have seen other videos and its washed out by the cars lights hitting on the plate number. I was hoping to see if you have the same problem

Sorry if I missed it, but did you cover the "Extended cam image" setting under video on the main screen of the cam itself? It's not in the app, and the manual doesn't mention it. It seems like it doesn't do anything. I thought it would put up a little PIP on the screen or in the recordings, but either I'm missing something or it truly doesn't do anything.
