PHOTOGRAPH BULK PROCESSING, exposure & dynamic range correction.

Using ImageMagick to create a single command line script for FAST: EXPOSURE, SHADOW LIFT, EMBED names & water marks.
Also produces a reduced resolution copy good for social media, internet, and viewing.
This video demonstrates a scripting tool that I have developed to automatically scale the dynamic range of images in bulk, and make adaptive changes automatically.
I am not aware of any workflow environment that delivers performance anything like this.

This is a completely different approach to Photoshop, Lightroom, Gimp, Dark table, and the likes.
See for yourself.
As an event photographer this tool is vital for me.

This is actually four scripts:
One as a file manager & loop control etc..
The second reads the dynamic range of the image, and creates a file with the specifications, this script invokes another script that interprets the specifications and applies an image manipulation to it, and creates a copy.
The fourth scales the image to 1.5MP and embeds the filename as a image overlay.

It doesn't really get it wrong, because it keeps the image within 'the goal posts'

It can't perceive what a viewer might like to see, but essentially it makes the image as good as possible. (for a machine)

how does script know the desired settings. I guess you could enter a target setting, but not all pics look bad. you could mess up a good pic. how does script auto correct itself depending on pictures. thanks
