There is a learning curve to this mouse. I have used this at my buddy's house and the first thing I did do is hit that side button. I then used the mouse for another hour or so and really didn't have any issues with it. So don't worry about never being able to use it without hitting that side button. It just takes some getting used to.

I would look at how many buttons you need and the placement of them to determine you decision. They are both really great mice.

My hand is big and those side buttons will be a pain. Was close to getting this but thanks for the review.

I still don't notice my hands being cooler unless I have a low dpi setting then maybe I can feel some kind of air flow. And remember that companies love to say things about their products to make it special when in actuality it no better than a $30 mouse. It's all looks at that point.

Then Rat is probably the most comfortable mouse I have ever used but the tracking issues are just way too much of a pain to deal with and apparently I didn't just get a faulty one, all of them have tracking issues, I reckon give the Thermaltake a shot.

I use to be caught in that mind set of logitech being the best but that was the past and other companies are now making bettert quality stuff.

I prefer the rat 7 or the Razer taipan than this, the level 10 button layout is hard to use with FPS cause of the placing of the DPI switch, I keep pressing it instead of the B button.

why would you do a review on something you don't know, better yet even buy something you don't know? the engeneering into this mouse is bar none to any other mouse on the market. a solid piece, very practical and designed to compete competaivley with the best of the best. these holes you say are only their for estetics were very intentionly put their, did you not read anything on this?

I have heard than people think the rat7 is an unconformable mouse for some reason, also what do you think about the corsair m65, i heard its a very solid mouse too and its got a lot of good features.

I still prefer my R.A.T 7 or R.A.T 5 (not talking about dpi and all that, just functionality and looks.

May not be an ugly mouse, but find it sad you need tools to adjust the little things that can be adjusted..
