Thanks for your video. I see that you showed us that you replaced the DCT filter can. However in the parts you also showed the transmission pan gasket and seal for the pan. Did you replaced that filter too?

If you did, was it a pain in the neck to remove the pan? I heard you have to lift the transmission to get to a couple of bolts?

GM Maintenance Procedure calls for the DCT Housing threads to be cleaned with a “thread chaser” BEFORE installing the new DCT filter housing bolts. It’s because there will be old thread lock being left in the thread holes and if not cleaned out will result in over torquing of the new bolts!

curious, were you reusing the original bolts? I've noticed most of the filter kits come with new bolts for the housing and o rings for the filter housing cover and filler port. I'm wondering if the bolts have failed often enough that the new bolts are now included?

There is no way 53 IN-LBS of torque will shear off a bolt this size. I'm wondering if the bolt was torqued to 53 FT-LBS by mistake?
