Pin-curling My Short Hair, Vintage Inspired (1930s-ish)

I finally sat down to record how I do my hair vintage inspired. My hair is chin length so it ends up sort of 1930s. Check out the curling of my current pixie haircut style here:

Mama set her hair in pin curls every other night for decades. ❤

She also used Dippitty-Doo setting gel. Don't know what the difference is, but that stuff was completely different than today's hair gels/super glue!

I used to pin curl my hair a lot when it was long, but I recently had it cut to be about chin length, and I can’t wait to try pin curling again! Great tutorial :)

hello, thank you for this video! i have some questions:
1. is it important to use a hairbrush? the only one i have is a comb :c
2. are there any alternatives for the setting spray that you used before starting? preferrably maybe one that i can do at home with simple ingredients or something
3. what's the minimum amount of time (in hrs) i need to be able to get good curls?
