the reason the 6hp one is so quiet is because it has the stock muffler that muffler is made for the that engine. on the 10 hp that muffler is not "stock", and the engine is probable a little bit tired that's why it smokes in till it gets warmth into the cylinder.

I enjoy cold starts on diesels.  Hey, just a question, what type of lubrication system does a small diesel engine have?  Is it splash or does it have a pressurized system?

Roper is da bomb, ,  I glad to see that classic look running so good... RedTurdBryon ripped into his roper and destroyed it within a month.. He killed that classic look and it will never be back....He should not destroy classic like that... Stick to the craftsman if you know what I mean

+StarPuss www.ToxicRedNeck.com uou should make a black diesel generator and run one of those traptors on it. 75/25 used oils and diesel. We run it in our farm trucks no problem other than a bluish exhaust smoke. And cut our fuel costs down a lot. And gets rid of the hundreds of gallons of oil we have.
