I remember seeing this in the theater and felt a satisfaction I have never felt before in a movie theater

This was the moment. The moment I knew Marvel was doing something spectacular. It was all build up to this point. A mish-mash of films and characters and this lengthy experiment hoping to created a merging of film and comic book universe. Seemed impossible and on some level I wondered if it all was going to crash and burn. But here we were, this scene, this shot, watching it unfold, my blood was pumping, heart racing (still does) knowing that we were to be witness to cinematic gold and there was so much more to come. No matter where it goes from here, that will be something we all will remember.

Great thing about this whole scene is that it is the title moment when the Avengers are the Avengers. On the DVD commentary you can hear Joss Whedon say that there were some people who thought of cutting this whole scene but Joss replied "no I don't think so because otherwise there would be no reason why we're here."

Crazy to think that when this came out, this was the most mind blowing thing we'd ever scene. I genuinely thought nothing would ever top this one shot scene.

My favorite scene in the movie. Just for that long tracking shot that follows one avenger to another. God it's awesome

This one minute is probably the single best piece of cinematography in the ENTIRE MCU. One continuous take that gives the audience a sense of scale of the action taking place, showing that everyone is actively fighting for their lives and humanity all at once and in their own ways. Marvel has moved away from this in favor of jumpcut fight scenes that are just a mess and blur.

Just imagine when we have all of them AND The Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man & Wasp, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel and whoever else all kicking ass. It will be hard for any film after that to have as satisfying a moment.

I love how one of the first shots of "Age of Ultron" was another long shot of the whole team, just like this one. That's one of several things I'm gonna miss when the Russos direct "Infinity War".
