Yes!!! Shake the cinematographer fist!

The 'cinematographer's fist' is honestly super smart; there's me looking around at every other object to understand the lighting, when my hand's been there all this time! Love the video, as always 👌

Love the cinematographers take on stills imagery. Lighting is common, but, the fist is a golden nugget of a tool. Most useful. Thank you!

I need that SNL skit of 2:54. Cinematographer convincing people he’s not angry searching for the light, proceeds to get angry 😂

One thing I would like to draw attention to, because it has helped me a lot, is seeing the amount of photos Mark took of the camera. He's got 52 photos shown, who knows if that was before or after culling. But that is 52 attempts to get the right final look. So often when we see the work of others, especially in the edited and stylized format of youtube videos or social media images we only see the end result and it can appear like they nail a shot straight away every time. It's helpful to remember that even people who are very skilled and very experienced still have to work to create something good. It doesn't just happen.

my 2 cents- when I was a beginner photographer, I was always looking for cool subjects and when I would take the photo I would always wonder why they didn't look as cool as my favorite photographers' photos. It was when i realized how important it was to do what was number 1 on your list. As long as you can find the good light you can make a boring subject look awesome-consequently, a great subject can look terrible with bad lighting. So clearly, I learned quickly that my style was about following the light, not about looking for subjects. The light became my subject :)

Great video as usual!

Finally someone gets it! Thanks for not letting me sit through an 11 minute video and give me the opportunity to decide what kind of information is valuable to me. You're a real MVP, MB 👍
