Printing some artwork for Go To An Art Museum Day (November 9)

Today is a “national holiday” that we can really support, because November 9th is National Go To An Art Museum Day! While we are a history museum, we definitely have some works of art on display. The Sacramento History Museum is open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm with last admission at 4:30pm.

While we have many unique artifacts, our newest exhibit, “California in Print,” contains some very rare prints on display. When you visit us, make it a museum day and visit some other great museums in Sacramento!

In honor of today, Howard printed an electrotype, made about 125-130 years ago, from the Lewis Winter Collection. The print depicts a young individual painting some artwork.
