Theresa Villiers, a supporter of Rishi Sunak, has said that a dig made by her preferred candidate about Liz Truss's past as a Liberal Democrat is a "regret".

The Conservative MP told Sky's Kay Burley she wasn't sure it was the "right thing to do."

During the ITV debate Mr Sunak asked Ms Truss what she regretted more - being a Liberal Democrat or supporting Remain.

his taxes have helped get us into a mess .HE WANTS inflation so that governments income rises and the interest payments become more affordable ( but by pushing inflation up ) the bank of england has put rates up to try and stop inflation and the extra money goes straight into the vaults of the banks.
Rishi Sunak has his hands in one pocket and the bank of England the other ..what did Rishi Sunak say we dont pay as much personal tax as other country do ..( other country have governments that know what they are doing ) the conservative circus is in town..the clowns have arrived

Rishi recognises the problem he has helped to cause, who would of thought eh.??. Out of the lot running he’s bottom of the pile and my vote is long gone if he’s handed the country for his upper class and middle class friends to abuse more.

Mordunce was never a "shoe-in" for the final two, truss was always going to fill the convenient idiot role vacated by boris.

sunak has proved he cannot solve the economy even if he was chancellor, so how is prime minister going to help him, by blaming covid for the national debt? when it was double pre covid from when the terrible tories took power. he backed boris all the way until he started to look bad, then he walked not when it was right to do so only when it made him look bad.

Don’t care what his case is, I for one will not vote for a disloyal, backstabber. Many other party members feel the same.

So, it's either a turd salad (as we're in Summer) or a turd roast ('cos we're British)? Hard choice!

Why do all Conservative MPs have the same smug grin? Is it taught at the party conference, as shovel food into their mouths with silver spoons?

She's always been odd. Sunak is never going to be the British primeminister.
