(Picking 88) ABUS Tresor Chain Catena Combination 1385 bike lock (revisited)

I revisit this tough lock as I found a very quick method to decode this lock!
(Inspired by an idea from Douglas E Knapp)

My son accidentally changed combination on his 1385 two years ago.
I took some approaches but have never been successful but with your method I have been able to recover it within 2 minutes!

I just popped open this bike lock floating about that nobody could remember the combination for while listening to the video. I tried with the pressure method first so I think I already had the first two locked in right. Still funny that I managed to unlock it while listening to your video.

I had the exact same lock, not knowing the combination and this lock being very resistable to all common methods. I got mine open in about 3 minutes.
It helps to close your eyes and just feel on each wheel.

My lock has been used on a bike for a long time but I have only picked it for two days and only about 3 or maybe 4 times. It also has this stuck feeling at the gates as well as the sound change.

It does take a quiet room to do it by sound only. the last time I picked it my Degus were running and drinking water and that make it super hard to hear the soft click vs the firm clicks. Thanks for the name share. :-)

One last comment. When I said to let the chain hang, I meant all of the chain. This might make the click louder? I also found turning it one way make a better click than turning it the other, wear?

URGENT PLEASE HELP. So I'm deciding between two bikes chain locks. A combination 7mm lock (£15) or a 8mm key lock (£20). Now you've been able to bypass these combination locks but ik key locks can be picked as well. Which one should I buy. Crime rate is fairly moderate

Iv got the same lock but really badly warn on the gate to the point it's all jacket up I know theirs 10000 possible combinations in these but it's that jacked up I can't hear any clicks but one thing I can notice is it locks up like ur saying on certain numbers spinning it so what ur saying is I need to stop when it locks up on a number to the next one?
