This month's Book Box Battle has been one of my most anticipated of the entire year, but will it impress me as much as I was hoping it would?

The pencil case is supposed to stand upright, you place the pens or pencils etc in the bag, and then you open it in the upright position. The extendible part you slide down, and that way your pencil case stands upright and allows you to easily grab things without having to search for them like when you have a pouch that opens horizontally. The first time I saw one of those I was confused as well but I personally love them now.

I suspect the lack of ink with the Illumicrate stamps is that there are a lot of issues with customs with anything with liquid in it and they didn't want it hold things up in the shipping!

Illumicrate was an easy win for me. I really liked the pencil case, being able to shorten it to see all your coloured pencils makes it easy to find what you’re looking for. The witchy stamps were my favourite item (other than the book obviously!). Planners are always a win. It was only the the pin I wasn’t too bothered about.

I love watching your unboxing videos 😄The pencil case is like a portable pen pot. You pull the top half down to transform it into a pen pot whilst you’re using it.

I thought it was a really strong month for both FL and Illumicrate - I’m so glad I held off cancelling Illumicrate. I LOVED FLs jewellery box and tote designs, love the bookmarks too. I don’t think the list pad or pin were mind blowing but nice enough. The book was stunning as always.
Illumicrate had a GREAT item month - loved the stand up pencil case (you pull the top down to stand it on your desk so you can see all your pencils like a pen pot). Loved the journal (personally preferred their last one but like that they’ve left it customisable and included art instead (some great additions inside too). Like that they included stamps to decorate the journal (ink is not worth posting, they did leave an ink sized gap in the box so I think they hoped to include but I’m glad they still sent it cuz the stamps are so cute!). My fav ink pads are like £2 on Amazon, most stationary sections in shops sell them too. The pin was the best quality pin I’ve seen in a book box in a long time - loved it. It was a great artsy box which is a bit of me 🙈 in fact I’d say I was a little disappointed with the book if anything, I wasn’t a fan of the naked hardback design but the slip case is pretty 🤩
Owlcrate usually go great items but don’t think it was a strong month for them. Excited to see what FL do with Babel!

I was really disappointed by fairyloot this month. After seeing the Owlcrate unboxing, I definitely felt that the Owlcrate version was better. I also didn’t get my book plate and it’s the second box I’ve gotten from FairyLoot where there’s been an issue. Their customer service is responsive and they did resolve the last problem but it’s just a hassle to have to reach out to them again. Unfortunately I canceled my illumicrate last month. But knowing that the same book is going to be in the FairyLoot adult box I’m glad not to get a duplicate book.

Lol girl the pencil case is extendable so when you need to pull it out you can sit it in front of you like a cup so you can see everything inside…. I’m trying to to be nice here but this was one of my favorite items very useful. And the stamps are also my actual favorite item… I don’t think that ink or gel pens should be expected…. I feel very disheartened watching this.
