Hi Robert, the Fiat's problem could be the clutch cable. I know it seems like it can't be, but I've seen it before. The cable is coming lose and the clutch is not managing to fully engage/disengage and is as confused as you and I have been regarding this issue. I have experienced this and only found the problem when the cable totally detached from the clutch arm and was left stranded while doing an Italian tune-up as I also thought it was a fuel issue. The nut had come loose and is probably still sitting on some road outside the Circuit de Catalunya. Thankfully 50 years ago most nuts on a car were the same, so I took one off of a plastic trim around the fuel filler cap and used it to do a "temporary" fix and to this day that nut is still there holding the cable in place :)

The pleasure of watching you building the bus isn't the bus. It's watching YOU. I don't care about the bus to be honest, there's nothing I gain from it besides thinking "cool" for a minute. But I do care about you! Just seeing how you are working on projects that you like. Whatever you feel passionate about will make for a great Aging Wheels video, which makes me very happy.

There is no shame in nuking a project that isn't working. If you just don't like what you are working on, it shows. It is bad for you and it is bad for the channel. The comments section has no right to tell you what to do, so you do what makes you happy and everyone down here in the pergatory can just deal.

I've been watching this channel since before the bus project. I remember how excited you were in the video when you bought it, and how excited you were as you talked about all the cool plans you had come up with for it.

I've also watched the next five years as your enthusiasm fell away and the prospect of working on the bus seemed more like a chore you were forced to do rather than a fun way to spend your time.

I also have ADHD, and I've had to abandon a few projects myself because they were just weighing me down. It's a cool project, and I really loved the idea, but you've seemed overwhelmed by it for a while. If it's bringing you that much stress, then it's time to let it go. Your other projects will thank you for it! =)

When i first got into RV'ing i remember someone telling me that your first RV is just your practice RV. All it does is educate you on what to look for (and what your needs actually are) for your 2nd RV. Very few of us actually knows what we want & need out of an RV until we actually get one (or build one) and try to use it.

I think you should dump the bus. If your heart isnt in it its not going to turn out well. Use the energy on something you'll like using.
Convert it into a sound-proofed turkey coop.

Honestly the main reason I started following you was the bus project. I wanted to see someone pull off a really interesting full conversion that wasn't performance based, something practical that you can't just go buy. Since then I've found many of your videos to be interesting, and worth watching, but the bus is what brought me here.

The herky-jerky Fiat is likely because of a plugged fuel filter. It may have more than one.
I had a Subaru that did that, and it turned out to have three fuel filters. Changing all three of them stopped that problem .

I had a pretty strong suspicion the bus wasn't gonna be finished when the roof came off. You cant fundamentally alter the structure of a vehicle like that without having a real actionable plan in place to rebuild it immediately, the more time passes the more you start wondering things like "why the hell did i do this" and the harder it is to finish that project. Running out of steam/getting burned out becomes a real risk.

Robert, I just wanted to say that beyond the actual content within your videos, one of the reasons that you're one of my favorite channels is because you keep everything so real and genuine. Your honesty with your feelings about the bus project or the clear respect and appreciate you shared towards your grandmother giving you the truck are just a couple examples of this. Ultimately, as cool as it would have been to see the bus comepleted one day, it's your time, your life and your project in the first place. Whatever makes you happy and fulfilled is most important. I think I speak for most of us when I say that we'll keep watching happily no matter what you do. Keep up the great work!

If I recall correctly, I found your channel because of the bus project.
It would be sad for me to see it gone, especially since I love buses for some bizarre reason.
But, if giving up the bus is what you need to do, then there's no stopping that.
