Most painfull loss is nations league final for me. Kinda feel that was our biggest chance to take a trophie. All other games where we were close to getting a trophie we lost them fair and square against a better oponent. 1998 france was better. 2018 final france was better, 2022 Argentina smashed us. But this nations league 2023 really feels like we were there to take it but choked in the end to a good but not great spanish team.

I hope the best for Croatia. I feel the pain because Morocco National Team is so Unlucky in the African Cup of Nations, we only have one orphan Title from 1976, and that's it. May God helps us all 🇲🇦💜🇭🇷

It's quite similar in handball, where Croatia have reached several finals but never quite managed to win the Euros, despite winning every other trophy for which they have competed. The last final against Spain was as unlucky, with a few close calls determining everything...

Another interesting fact is that every Champions League winning teams since 2013 had at least one Croatian players, including Luka Modric, who won 5 times with Real Madrid. Even though Manchester City had broke this myth by winning without at least one Croats after beating Inter Milan with Marcelo Brozovic (he's currently playing with Al Nassr), they might reignite this myth once more with the arrival of Mateo Kovacic, who also won the UCL with Real Madrid and Chelsea, as well as the potential arrival of Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.
