I love me an explorer. My epiphone futura was my main axe for like 8 years! Ive moved onto more traditional shapes since because explorers are hella heavy and give back problems, but still love the way they play

Id go for a black pick guard on that vintage White body. Or gold anodised with gold hardware. Nice axe though.

Aside from the bound neck and different pickups what are the differences between this and the original collection explorer?

How do these pickups play/sound? Can’t find squat on them. I have a JB in a Les Paul and a 498T in an SG. How are they compared to those and would you say this is suitable for metal up to say Metallica/Megadeth etc?

How are the frets on this one? I bought the 70s V and the Antique Explorer and the frets felt like fretless wonders. Hated them and got both guitars refretted.
