I watched this show as a child and now at 56 I still watch it most every night. I greatly appreciate this video, covering all the actors on the show, not just choosing the main characters.

Jim and Andy had great chemistry like Andy and Don. Jim and Frank had that same special chemistry on Gomer Pyle. Love all these characters. Continue to watch daily.

Aneta Corsaut aka Helen Crump was gorgeous!
She also sang the Salem' cigarette song in their commercials;
"You can take Salem out of the country but, you can't take the country out of Salem."

Kudos to (1) of the 'fun girls' Joyce Jameson [Skippy] not mentioned here, who passed in 1986 from depression R.I.P.💐👏

Andy Griffith may have been the star of the show, but I once heard that he and Don Knotts agreed that Barney Fife would have all of the comic situations.

The one stain on this show was the failure of its producers and writers to incorporate non-white characters into the storylines. No effort was ever made, and they made it appear like people of color must not have existed in North Carolina.

Better credit must be given to Carl Reiner for doing so, if even only on occasion, in The Dick Van Dyke show, which aired throughout the 1960s as well.
