Looking again in the owner's manual, it says nothing about external mic recording capability, so I assume it can record through the on-board mic only, which can be turned off or on in the menu system.

Now that you mention it, they originally said you could attach an external mic but I don't see anything in the manual about it. Maybe through the USB port in the back? I don't see another port anywhere on it.

i agree i have mounts on 2 motorbike helmets and my cycle helmet and there has never been an issue with either. If stuck on correctly the pads will never come off.. I can see the screen quite clearly and the buttons are easy to use. I would use this everytime over the gopro.

yea i think its through the usb port i know after watching your review i dont want one the vid quality is terible my contour +2 even with the audio problems blows it out of the water and di d you hear contour, s comming back into busissness

can you help me please, i just buy the garmin camera, but really i cant use it because i dont know how works, i have a problems to turn on, and i wanna know is some light turns on when i put them to charge, and when the camera was loading searching the satellite the camera just off, and never complete the process, can you help me please? i really appreciate it

What would you say your favourite action cam is I'm really stuck for choice I will be using it for motocross, mountain biking and kayaking and some other things, so any help would be great thanks

awesome camera and so much cheaper than go pro with same quality picture .cant go wrong with virb the sound is a bit muffled tho but i actually like the virb better than go pro they are so overpriced and have alot of bugs that virb dosnt have .
