For no obvious reason the French national anthem came to mind, so I listened to it. I also enjoyed reading the comments. I’m a US citizen, so it should come as no surprise that it’s my favorite. But please allow me to share one of the most moving moments of my life. I attended a sports event with a neighbor, one who fled Cuba with family as a child. Watching my friend’s response as she heard her national played publicly for the first time ever left me in awe. Every person’s reaction to his or her national anthem is personal. So, while mine is best to me, it thrills me to see others honor their own.

Canada's lyrics are the best. Russia's music and Melody is a tie with France . To be honest, I only hear them at the Olympics or Hockey games, so maybe I am not the best
