32. Bhagavad Gita l Chapter 3 Verses 19-21 l Swami Sarvapriyananda

Swami Sarvapriyananda teaches Verses 19-21 from the third chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. This series of talks unfolds the highest truths of Vedanta through the study of "The song of God".

🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 3, Verse 19:
तस्मादसक्त: सततं कार्यं कर्म समाचर |
असक्तो ह्याचरन्कर्म परमाप्नोति पूरुष: || 19||
tasmād asaktaḥ satataṁ kāryaṁ karma samāchara
asakto hyācharan karma param āpnoti pūruṣhaḥ
🔴Therefore, unattached, always do the work that has to be done; for, doing work with detachment, man attains the Supreme.

🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 3, Verse 20:
कर्मणैव हि संसिद्धिमास्थिता जनकादय: |
लोकसंग्रहमेवापि सम्पश्यन्कर्तुमर्हसि || 20||
karmaṇaiva hi sansiddhim āsthitā janakādayaḥ
loka-saṅgraham evāpi sampaśhyan kartum arhasi
🔴 Janaka and others achieved perfection through works alone. At least, to promote the welfare of the world, you ought to do works.

🔆Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 3, Verse 21:
यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठस्तत्तदेवेतरो जन: |
स यत्प्रमाणं कुरुते लोकस्तदनुवर्तते || 21||
yad yad ācharati śhreṣhṭhas tat tad evetaro janaḥ
sa yat pramāṇaṁ kurute lokas tad anuvartate
🔴Whatever is done by the best of men, others also do; the world conforms to the standard that he sets.

1:11:42 These mantras have no connection to karma. The Isavasya Upanishad is the 40th chapter of the Shukla Yajur Veda. Shankara arrives and tears out the 40th chapter and says 39 belong to the ritualists, and the 40th is ours.

Nah...not agreed...a real devotee only knows his or her God and submerged into God, for them Nirvana doesn't matter...

"Nirvana" itself is Maya .
If God put me in work, that work itself is Nirvana. No attachment to the Karma-Phala itself is Nirvana.
" Brahmagyana " is not the only path, it's just another path. If you say it's the only path, that means you are trapped.
