Jay Nation is no longer the active YouTube account associated with Sleight of Hand 101. Sleight of Hand 101 was meant to guide beginner card magicians into the realm of magic and then to push them towards higher learning through other cardistry entities. There are 31 tutorials under Sleight of Hand 101 and there will be no more posts. I understand that this may frustrate some of you, but my new media business "Milson Productions" is my passion and will lead this channel forward from here on out. I hope you can understand. Please enjoy the tutorials and, if you dare, check out some of my new creations under Milson Productions! Thank you!

All of the other tutorials I've watched didn't help me at all. This one was very in-depth and was extremely helpful. Thanks!

This is the first card thing I'm trying to learn, so many dropped cards, this card stuff is going to be a tough experience for sure!

Seriously can't thank you enough for these lessons, all this seemed impossible just days ago, now I imagine with a couple years of practice I'll be pretty fluent :) thanks Jay

Simple and nice. Better than many other videos on this topic. Can’t understand why only 1K likes so far. You deserve many more. Unfortunately I can’t put in more likes!

Hi Matthew! I've been trying to figure out the mid air riffle shuffle for a few days, it was this video that finally made it click in my head! Thanks for all your great videos!

Thanks for the amazing tutorial! This is the first thing I'm learning, but honestly I can't even riffle down thr cards with one hand 😆 They just fall down in big chunks

Hey Jay. Thanks a lot. That mention about gripping the 3 fingers really helped me. Thanks again!

I already knew how to perform the riffle shuffle before reviewing this video, but my problem was clumping. Honestly, I think rewatching how it's done professionally helped me to slightly subdue the clumping. Thank you for the help, I was doubtful this video was going to be helpful but I was fortunately wrong.

Hi Jay, because you stopped producing sleight of hand, do you have any other tutorial series like yours to recommend?

I'm still trying to learn this, in my experience it is better if you start practicing this with a 100% plastic cards as they are more flexible and easier to control or with an old deck, with a new bicycle deck, right out of the box, the cards are hard and it's difficult to avoid that they clump together in chunks of four or five cards. You may also want to try different positions of your thumb to see which suits you better. At first try to do this as slow as you can, trying to let go one at a time. The first cards to fall are the trickiest.

Great tutorial, thank you!  Do you think you could make one for the one handed shuffle?  Works kinda like a faro I think...

Thank you, the first time I tried this, it felt like I will never succeed, but after several attempts, I have mastered it(almost).
How can I do this without revealing the bottom card, when I do this, I always have the top facing me.
