Yes! Yes! Yes! Love this criteria 1) games kids can play on their own, 2) games you don’t mind playing.

For everyone who wants a HABA Game i suggest getting their games right now. They recently declared bankruptcy and the future is very unclear. They will probably get bought. But who knows what will happen to the awesome build quality of their games afterwards.

I work at preschool and every Tuesday we have board game club, where I teach kids how to play classic games (like chess and checkers). Lately i started bringing them some modern games, and so far the biggest hits were Cockroach Poker, Virus (especially with Virus 2 expansion) and Uno Jr.- all of those games are dirt cheap and can be enjoyed by kids as young as 4 and after few games they don't require special supervision.

If you want a bit more challenging games for your kids I can also recommend Coded Castle (great way to teach coding!) Imago Family, Super Farmer (old Polish game which can be bought internationally now, but beware- it's highly random and some kids can get annoyed by it), Dōbutsu Shōgi (simplified version of shogi) and Draftosaurus

Extra shout out to Zombie Kids. Had a ton of fun going through that. The legacy aspect of it made it easy for my kids to learn cause the extra rules come in slowly. Also I’ve been really enjoying Battlesheep. I can’t explain why it’s so good but it’s quick and easy, but can get real tense when you realize you’re getting stuck.

I gotta point out the illumination of the video is great!

My 6 year old had a lot of fun with Zombie Kidz, also loves Castle Panic, and Silver and Gold. Reading is a barrier for some of these games. He did play with me Massive Darkness 2, had to run all around protecting him as he kept running for the treasure and not being very tactical 😂

Thanks for the video. I enjoyed listening, and took notes on some ideas for a game to get for my family.
As an aside, nice to see the kippah : ) I haven't seen your channel before, but my immediate thought was - I wonder if he plays D&D or PC games in coop? I too am frum, and I play all of the above, and it would be neat to connect with someone similar.

Loved this list. My oldest turns 6 next week and is probably pretty advanced game player for her age (she plays chess and splendor). I think she will love a few of these and some of the other ones will be great when she grows another year or two.

The shoutout to KTBG Games was also helpful. I had never heard of them and looked up their whole collection. More research needed but I'm excited for the options.

I think the last time you had wreck raiders on a list and showed the box, you held it upside down the entire time! I'll be waiting for the next time to see if it manages to make it right side up!😅

This is a cool list with some ideas I have not known yet. That's what I am looking for in Top List Videos :) Thanks

Great list! My kids love Via magica and cockroach poker too! Some other games we play with my oldest daughter (8yo) are Flamecraft, Takenoko, Century Golem, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Zombie Kidz, Potion explosion, el dorado, draftausorus, mysteries of pekin, happy city, jamaica and taco cat goat cheese. With the youngest (5yo) it's more Quedlinburg dash, dragomino, magic mountain and Mantis. I find it hard to play with kids below 6 years old since you only have 15min of attention to get them to focus on anything, I'm glad I finally got rid of Orchard and Funy bunny! :p

I have mainly had bad experiences with here to slay, after like 2 turns someone was lucky enough to draw all the heroes and win instantly

Oh and to answer your question, I have a 3-year-old and we enjoy playing dragamino and yummy yummy monster tummy along with my first Castle panic. That last one is more fun just because it's a silly castle defense game that we kick their booties back to the dungeon!

beat the 8 ball is less interesting with 1 as lowest positive, if you have 9 points you always just go first which spoils the last round

I was about to back CoraQuest, but I did not like that 4 characters were mandatory to play.
