Chapter 1: Background

Nikocado Avocado was born Nicholas Perry in 1992. He is Ukrainian born but was adopted soon after and raised in Philadelphia. He had studied Performance in college before getting his start in Youtube. According to him, he received a call back for the Glee Project. This may be why he has a sense that dramatic flare that has become attached with his name.
Before gaining notoriety on YouTube, he worked as a freelance violinist in New York. As you can imagine, it was difficult for him to make a comfortable living.

Chapter 2: Before Madness

If you only started following Nikocado Avocado recently, you will be surprised to find out that his content was initially vegan lifestyle blogs. Astonishing, we know. He
started out as a vegan food vlogger in 2014 at a dramatically lower weight than he is now. He is almost pushing 350 POUNDS!!!! However in 2016 Nikocado Avocado explained in a video why he no longer wanted to be a vegan YouTuber. Something about never being able to please Vegans. This video has 5.8 million views since its upload.
He would later open up with his health struggles on Trisha Paytas Podcast about the effect that the vegan lifestyle had had on his body. Rotting teeth, B12 deficiency, hypoglycaemia. That was when he transitioned into the world of Mukbang.

Chapter 3: Beginning Mukbang

He quit being a vegan in 2016 and starting making Mukbang content. If you don’t know what Mukbang is, don’t worry, you are probably not alone. Mukbang was first popularised in South Korea in 2010 and almost always consists of a host eating humongous amounts of food while communicating with an audience. Usually through some type of streaming service. Think Instagram live or TikTok live.
From 2016 and onwards Nikocado Avocado began to gain popularity through his Mukbang content. He became one of the first American males to participate in this type of content. Most Mukbang content was dominated by woman at the time.

His first Mukbang video had reached over 50000 views in a few weeks. And from there the views began to sky rocket. With some of his reaching 3 million to 5 million over the last 3 years.
Nikocado Avocado has 4 YouTube Channels; More Nikocado, Nikocado Avocado, Nikocado Avocado 2, Nikocado 3 with over 5 million subscribers across these channels. He mainly uploads videos onto More Nikocado, Nikocado Avocado , Nikocado 3 though.
Some of his most popular videos have been with Hungry Fat Chick, another Mukbang content creator. These videos are his most watched Mukbang videos, receieving 12 million views.

CHAPTER 4: Notoriety and Controversy

According to him,” Junk food has made me crazy.” It seems those food challenges have finally gotten to him. Kidding aside, Nikocado Avocado has a flare for dramatic outbursts. However, he chooses to take advantage of these dramatic outbursts. He has even acknowledged that his emotional outbursts have generated more views. Kind of clickbaity. With his ‘I’m too afraid to go to the hospital‘ video amassing 23 million views.
In 2019, more drama ensued on his channels with other mukbanger, as they are obviously called, accused him of being abusive. Nikocado Avocado had collaborated with fellow Mukbanger Stephanie Soo in 2019. Just a few days after their video, Stephanie Soo uploaded a video on her channel, describing how she felt unsafe filming with him. Soo followed up with some crazy allegations of harassment via texts and photos sent by Nikocado Avocado.
