It’s Incredible how many people in the world can be helped with the amount of money that is spent on wars.

30+ years of Charity organizations and it ended up taking an individual person to donate the equipment for clean water.

The world *needs* more people like him. Think of how many people we could help if we stopped fighting eachother

Wont stop any of the dangerous bacteria . Need to boil the water of use proper filters. Its fine patronising people from low income areas to sound all noble, but cut the bs this sand filter has very limited uses

How does granite filter out germs?? The whole ordeal also feels really ad-like, with the endless endorsements and portraying people without clean water somehow worrying about carbon emissions.

A innovator sharing his knowledge and helping the community because water is a human right also thinking of nature, instead of capitalising on it unlike many private water brands 🔥

$1, 200 USD for a small filtration system that looks like it should cost $100?

I love how people who are struggling just share all their information with the community to actually improve the community. They aren't worried about someone stealing their business or profits.

the system cost $1200, which is equal to about 100 solar heaters, which can boil water and cook

Now these are kind of things that so much resources wasted on excess should be redirected to..

I'm very sceptical that a simple sediment filter can clean any microorganisms from the water, my opinion is that the community will be better off digging a couple of deep wells.

I like the idea of planting "Muringa" tree or "Drum Stick Tree" whenever a plant is installed. The leaves of the are one of the best source of Iron, which is very essential for young girls and mothers to avoid Anemia. The leaves can be just boiled with salt and sauteed with grated coconut and it tastes great. They can also boil the leaves and make tea / soup out of it. Same goes with the vegetables and flowers of this tree. A staple here in South India and easy food to consume. Kudos to the thinkers!
