In Bicol, we love baligang also called amhi (Syzgium curranii). It's a type of plum. We would put the tiny round fruits in a bowl, sprinkle with table salt, cover with a bread plate and shake until the fruits are tender and the red juices ooze out. It's a perfect combination of fruity, tangy, sweet, and salty flavors.

Hey cris. Thanks for the video.
I think the ginataang lanka is made from unripe jackfruit with the seeds. Have you tried boil jackfruit seeds?
I remember my lola peeling a whole fruit. Seperating the flesh and the seeds. The seeds she will boil and can be eaten as snacks. The flesh she will put in the freezer and you can take out a frozen piece to munch on.

You should also tried nagcarlang pinya. It is the sweetest pinya you will ever taste.

Hi Chris! You can try mash latundan banana with a small amount of sautéed bagoong and smother it onto freshly cooked rice. I introduced to my children ripe mango eaten with rice, too. They loved it as much as I do, too.
