“How to be an insufferable smug twat”.
-James O’Brien.

I can’t say this about too many people, but I utterly despise O’Brien.

"I lied to win an argument"
"I don't know why he made stuff up"
Saying those two things in the same sentence just goes to show how deranged these people are.
They just project what they do onto everyone else and absolve themselves of any responsibility.

James O'Brian should retitle his book 📖 How to be a Narcissist with the subtitle 'and be disliked by absolutely everybody' 😂

The title of the book is a clear sign of being an ideologue. Being right is not that important. It’s more important to learn how to form an opinion based on evidence and have that opinion tested against opposing views. In other words, being able to think.

Win at all cost is a liberal mindset no matter what the consequences, whether people, communities or countries are thrown into turmoil or destroyed.

I remember when Jacob Rees Mogg whent on his show a few years ago and skewered him.
Id love to see Peter Hitchens put him in his place too

For someone who bandies the word 'Gammon' around so much he has the most "Beacon-coloured'

O'Brien hasn't a drop of Irish blood in his veins. His adoptive father was a journo of Irish lineage who worked for conservative news outlets. Seeing a bit of 'blame the Paddy' in the comment section. He has nothing to do with us, his mum was an English single teenager who gave him up as a baby.

James O'Brien has peak onion farmer physiognomy

Thr only way to win against someone like James O'Brien is simply not to play in the first place. His audience agrees with him so you're not going to be changing anyone's mind; only making yourself hot & bothered and ultimately keeping his rotten show on the airwaves

He's an even more insufferable version of Mehdi Hasan

One of the worst things about James O'Brien is that he (thinks he) shows himself to be so compassionate when he gives his victim an 'out'. He describes 'the real' situation and when the subject has the scales removed from their eyes by his unique insight and piety, they are allowed to claim they were duped by a powerful and organised enemy. They are not evil then, but merely stupid. Aaah thank you James, you're such a magnanimous oracle!😡

The fluff quote from Jamie Oliver says "I love this book."
Note that he doesn't claim to have read it.

You actually read his book I wouldn't even use it as toilet paper

Intel Lady, “no brainer with Angela Rayner “ does fantastic satire and often singles out James O
She’s absolutely spot on. Hilarious watch.

He reminds me of the scene in Alan Partridge where they talk about his book, he keeps writing, 'Needless to say I had the last laugh'.

How to be right - by James O'Brien
1) Call yourself James O'Brien
2) Scoff, snort at and talk over anyone and everyone
