if you wanted to put this through an amp it probably wouldn't be too hard to put a mic on the soundhole, it'd be a shame to do much else to that thing though

I love the guitar. It looks like it was in a war. Hey it’s not about the look it’s about the tone. That guitar looks to be from the 1920’s or 30’s. Birch wood if I’m not mistaken? A lot of the old regal and tonk brothers guitars they used at that time were made of birch wood. Sounds great 👍🏻. Keep it up.

Lapel mic clipped onto soundhole will work. I know a blues player that does it with a metal body resonator and it works fine.👌👍

a ribbon mic about 2-3 feet away will work fine .

Great guitar ., sounds lovely... I have shared this with the Mississippi Delta Blues Community on Google+ .... Please check it out ... I have tried to keep the posts relating to the Delta (mainly) past and present, or old country Blues, mainly acoustic, some Cigar Box Guitar .... Basically tried to keep it real, so sorry, no Joe Bonamassa / Clapton / Blues Rock, as that is well catered for on many other Google+ communities :-)
