Gershon had his first open heart surgery when he was two years old. He received two artificial heart valves. As a teenager, he began to lose vision and no one could figure out why. So he was referred to the expert team at the Cedars-Sinai Stroke Program, where Patrick Lyden, MD and Brenda Rinsky, RDMS saved his life by using a simple, non-invasive diagnostic device with an unusual name - the Transcranial Doppler.
